This Silksong trick to keep rosaries almost feels like cheating

Team Cherry might be about to make Hollow Knight: Silksong easier, but let’s be real, the game is still going to be a punishing affair overall. That upcoming patch also only addresses a couple of early game bosses, and it doesn’t drop for a week. That’s why I’m here to tell you how to keep your rosaries on those long runbacks to those pesky bosses that are probably killing you over and over again. It might be especially useful for any of you madlads who are still trying to make your way through Hunter’s March, where a single mistake can throw that run into the trash can.

If you’re in a tight spot in Silksong, you don’t have to crawl back to your nearest healing bench to make sure you keep your rosary stash. Actually, if you save and quit right where you are, the next time that you respawn, it’ll be at the last bench you rested on. You’ll have every single bead that was in your inventory when you hard saved, and you’ll be at full health to boot. It’s a small trick, and some of you may have already figured it out. Still, it’s saved me so much pain in Silksong that I figured it was worth sharing.

If you’re a fastidious player, though, this might not be a problem at all if you make sure to turn your loose change into rosary beads that will stick with you even upon death. Another way to make sure you aren’t rage quitting because Hornet dropped all her beads on a random normal enemy is to make sure you spend them before you enter a new area. This way, you can make sure that Hornet is fully kitted up with whatever crests or upgrades she needs for her new challenge while also putting your rosaries to good use. You can’t lose rosaries that you don’t have, so you might as well give yourself some agency in where they go!

But also, you probably shouldn’t sweat losing beads too much. There are ways to farm rosaries, which are scant in the early game, but Silksong will eventually place you in areas where rosaries are plentiful enough that you won’t be counting every single bead you own.
