Pokémon Go ‘Pokémon Concierge Celebration’ event guide

Pokémon Go is hosting an in-game “Pokémon Concierge Celebration” event that runs from Sept. 9-14 to promote the new episodes added to the Netflix show, Pokémon Concierge.

Notably, this event has doubled candy for catching Pokémon, as well as the debut of a very special little friend: a Psyduck wearing a swim ring. There’ll be an increased chance to find this little guy shiny, and any swim ring Psyduck may have a special background when caught. Additionally, your buddy Pokémon will bring over items more often, as part of the event’s perks.

Pokémon Go ‘Pokémon Concierge Celebration’ event Timed Research and reward

There’s both free and premium Timed Research to complete during this event. The premium research costs $4.99 and it rewards extra costumed Psyduck encounters, as well as a cosmetic pose. Is the “Beachside Premium Timed Research” worth buying? Only if you’re shiny hunting the tube-wearing Psyduck and/or you want the cosmetic.

Spinning a PokéStop during the event period may yield one of these tasks:

• Catch 10 Pokémon (Corphish, Sealeo, or Dedenne encounter)
• Take 3 snapshots of wild Pokémon (Psyduck [swim ring] encounter)
• Win a raid (Psyduck [swim ring] encounter)

Pokémon Go ‘Pokémon Concierge Celebration’ event boosted spawns

These Pokémon will spawn more frequently during the event period:

• Psyduck (swim ring)*
• Sealeo
• Shinx

*There is an “increased chance” of finding this Pokémon shiny in the wild.

Once again, Niantic has withheld the full list of Pokémon spawns for this event. According to player reports, these Pokémon are also spawning:

• Eevee
• Wooper
• Corphish
• Pansage
• Pansear
• Panpour
• Dedenne

Note that only the respective Pan-monkey will spawn in your region. They are not spawning outside their usual regions. There may be other Pokémon spawning as well, but these were what we were able to confirm before publishing this post.
