Lagoon Layer Banandium Gem locations in Donkey Kong Bananza

Banandium Gems are golden bananas scattered around the layers in Donkey Kong Bananza. You’ll find dozens of these collectibles in the Lagoon Layer.

The Lagoon Layer is home to, well, a lagoon, and to the wise Kong Elder. Some of the Banandium Gems in the this layer will require you to adjust the water level of the lagoon and utilize your Kong Bananza powers. These Banandium Gems can be fairly difficult to find — some are hidden inside Ancient Ruins, while others require you to think on your feet.

Below, we list where to find all of the Banandium Gems in the Lagoon Layer in Donkey Kong Bananza.

Sublayer 100 Banandium Gems

Banandium Gems #41-50 are post-game bananas.

In order to get any of them, you’ll have to take part of a trial by the Kong Elder, after you collect 300 Banandium Gems total. Once you do, you can talk to the Kong Elder to take part in a “rehearsal.” The bananas all unlock one after another, so set aside a bit of time to complete this lengthy challenge level.

The first set of challenges involves using the boom rock hammers that crockoids are equipped with to take out spiked-concrete crockoids.

An arrow points to a stone wall blocking off an entrance with some spiked-concrete enemies behind it in Donkey Kong Bananza.

This is the first of five bananas that are off on a “detour.” As you approach the above banana, you’ll notice a stone wall on the left side that looks very clearly different from the other walls. Smash it open to find a short challenge inside.

For this challenge, you’ll need to punch the blue balloon on the left so that the crockoids line up, and then dive punch on the explosive switch to blow them up while they’re all in a row.

#43: Past the Second Scrappin’ Ground

After you get the second gem, turn left again to take a second detour.

#45: Past the Third Scrappin’ Ground

Kong DK lifts a block of concrete above his head ahead of a thorn-filled path in Donkey Kong Bananza.

This third set of challenges involves stompoids. Bait them successfully to stomp in the same spots to make them fall through the ground and to their deaths. You can also rip off a piece of concrete and just smack them to death with that.

This is another left detour through a stone wall next to the above banana. For this one, stand under the molevoloids and punch incoming squeeloids upwards by punching with X. You’ll get the banana when both molevoloids are dead.

DK hits huge iron balls towards some enemies sitting on a thorn platform in Donkey Kong Bananza.

This is a final detour on the left side, as you smash through a bunch of triangle concrete walls towards the end. Charge punch the balls up, using the pyramids on the edge as a ramp, killing the three crockoids to get this banana.

#50: Past the Fifth Scrappin’ Ground
