How to experience the Twilight Cruise again in Genshin Impact
As part of the “Time to Test the Twilight Cruise” quest in Genshin Impact, you’ll need to “experience the Twilight Cruise again.” It involves solving a puzzle where you must build some structures at the correct place to guide Mualani’s boat.
In patch 5.8, the main story quests will take you, Paimon, and many other familiar faces to Easybreeze Holiday Resort, a brand-new area in Genshin Impact. While navigating the waters of Natlan might not be your goal during summer, you need to complete the Twilight Cruise mission to progress in “The World is Your Canvas!” main quest.

How to ‘experience the Twilight Cruise again’ in Genshin Impact
In this mission, you’re transformed into an iktomisaur and need to use its Spiritspeaking to scan and construct one wave machine, and a Chompy Chompy Shark gate on the water around the island. The idea is to guide Mualani’s boat to a specific location with the wave machine while making it pass through the gate.
There are three construction areas (marked by a circle of wood) on the water that you can use and you need to find the right ones for these two structures. You can begin by scanning the Nightspirit Graffiti to the right, next to where Mualani’s boat is, to select the wave machine. Position it using E on keyboard or R2 on controller, inside the construction area to the far right. It’s the one closest to where you are.
The second step is to interact with the sign on the left beside the one you previously interacted with. Scan the wave machine and grab the Chompy Chompy Shark gate. You need to build it at the last construction site to the left. It is between two of the already existing wave machines.
With all the structures positioned, go to the sign next to the two Nightspirit Graffitis and select “Complete.” The camera will change, and you will have the option to press Square on your controller or spacebar on your keyboard to use the bell and command the Saurian staff members responsible for turning on the machines.
Start by activating the machine behind the boat, then the one you have built. You will see the Chompy Chompy Gate coming in and out of the water. Activate the wave machine to the right of it first, making the boat pass through it. After you command the Saurian staff to turn the last one, Mualani will reach the finishing line.
