Everything announced for Switch 2 and Switch

A week after dropping a new Nintendo Direct focusing on third-party partners, Nintendo aired a new Indie World showcase, revealing a bunch of fresh indie games — or giving long-awaited ones release dates — for Switch and Switch 2. If you weren’t there to watch it live, here are the biggest announcements, trailers, and release dates for the next batch of indies for Nintendo’s consoles.

And no, sorry, you will not find release dates for Hades 2 or Hollow Knight: Silksong below. But you will find a release date for…

Mina the Hollower

The next game from Shovel Knight developer Yacht Club Games is coming to Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on Oct. 31. Play as Mina, a renowned Hollower, on a desperate mission to rescue a cursed island in Mina the Hollower.

Well Dweller

Play as Glimmer, a tiny bird armed with a matchstick, to slay an evil queen to save his family before they become part of her royal gown in Well Dweller from Top Hat Games. It’s coming to Nintendo Switch in 2026.

Neverway

Quit your job and work for an immortal deity in Neverway, a nightmarish pixel art RPG — that looks kinda 16-bit Zelda-ish — with pixel art from the artist behind Celeste and music from the composer of Fez and Hyper Light Drifter. Neverway is coming to Nintendo Switch in 2026.

Herdling

From Okomotive and Panic, you’ll guide a herd of mysterious creatures, traverse forests, valleys, and snowy plateaus as you face eerie dangers and environmental puzzles. Herdling is coming to Switch on Aug. 21.

Is This Seat Taken?

A pleasant puzzle game about seating people where they want to sit. It’s a puzzle-piece-people manager. Is This Seat Taken? is out today on Nintendo Switch.

Little Kitty, Big City — Picture Purrfect Update

A new update for cat game Little Kitty, Big City offers new cats-omization options, new neighborhoods to explore, new friends, and new photo mode features. The Picture Purrfect update is coming later this year.

Content Warning

Become a streamer in silly co-op horror game Content Warning, where you’ll try to rack up viewers (and cash) on streaming service Spooktube. Go viral or die trying when Content Warning comes to Switch and Switch 2 in 2026.

Ball x Pit

An action roguelite game inspired by Holedown, Loop Hero, and Vampire Survivors, Ball x Pit is coming to Switch on Oct. 15 and Switch 2 sometime this fall.

Ultimate Sheep Raccoon

Ultimate Sheep Raccoon is a bike-racing party game where you and your friends build the course together — then race a wacky track and deadly obstacles. It’s coming to Switch and Switch 2 in winter 2025

Glaciered

Set 65 million years in the future, you play an evolved avian creature as you explore an underwater world, battling marine beasts to become the overwinters ultimate protector in Glaciered. The game is coming to Switch 2 this holiday.

Additionally, there’s a Nintendo Switch version of UFO 50 out today, and additional updates from Nintendo:
